When you sign up with symdirect, you will receive instructions on how to send content.  We have a content upload system that enables you to input your own details, pay our fees, and easily be able to upload each track to us. After we receive, you get a confirmation email of the upload (as do we) and we take it from there!  That very same day, we upload the content and we wait for the stores to make them live!


Symdirect will send payment to Label, artist, and/or distributor 40-45 days after a Quarter has Closed.  (We need time to reconcile the data and payments which is why it takes this long.) if your releases DO NOT reach a total of 500.00USD NET in a quarter then the payment will rollover to the following quarter.

A spreadsheet containing RAW data will be sent to you after it has been compiled.  (Sheets will be sent via email and you will be responsible for viewing… we cannot print as the sheet might contain hundreds and hundreds of line data.  You must have Microsoft Excel to view the sheet.) The sheet will show EACH sale but will not contain customer information.  This sheet is ONLY SENT when payments are sent, never before payments (We do not get this data until that time) You will only receive one payment with revenue from all of the stores (if threshold of 500.00 USD Net is met). 


NO! Symdirect is unique because all we do is deliver your release to the stores we deliver to (Ie: itunes, emusic, etc..).  We only ask you that the releases you send to us are not re-distributed by any other distributor, competitor, and/or direct contact as they will deny it and it will cause issues for you and us. We understand that you may have agreements with other stores and thus don’t force you to give up those agreements when you join our service. 


unfortunately, once you send a release, we will be uploading the release, thus, no changes will be accepted for any releases.  once we send to the stores we distribute to, it gets placed in a very large queue of releases that is pretty much impossible to edit (due to the size of the retailers we are distributing to)


Your releases will be submitted right when they are received by our content department.  after this, it can take quite some time for some stores to show.  itunes takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks after content has been received while others can take a couple of weeks.  we are unable to determine how much time each store takes as many factors are involved but we recommend that clients send us releases with release dates set for at least 1 month ahead of time.


no, there is no possible way of doing this because as described above, after the stores receive our content, it is placed in a queue that does not have a specific time table.  The stores we distribute to additionally do not have any method of rushing any release.


as a recommendation to our clients, we ask clients to submit releases with at least one month lead time.  If the release is still not live with this time, it is once again because of the time taken by the stores.  we cannot guarantee that your release will show live at that time but can guarantee that as soon as we receive the content, we upload.
